Beyond Transfusion: The Patient-Centred Evolution of Blood Health
PBM Conference 2026

The NHS Blood and Transplant Patient Blood Management team held their first PBM Conference in November last year. Chaired by Mike Murphy we hosted global speakers including Prof Patrick Meybohm, Dr Irwin Gross, Dr Megan Rowley, and Anna Mamwell covering patient consent and national guidance, making the shift to considering blood as an organ, and implementing PBM in practice. 
We had over 270 attendees on the day and the video recordings of these sessions are now available at PBM England YouTube - PBM Conference videos

Target for 2024/25 reached

The project had a target of 30 hospitals live with Fetal RhD electronic requesting and reporting by the end of the 2024/25 financial year. 

We are pleased to announce that we now have 35 sites live, 27 on Winpath Enterprise LIMS and 8 on EPIC EPR.
