Clinicians and transfusion lab scientists are invited to the NHS genotyping programme for patients sickle cell, thalassaemia, and transfusion dependant rare anaemias at 11am to 11.45am on Wednesday, November 1st.

This programme is due to open to samples in November. Patients can have their extended blood groups genotyped via a new DNA-based array. The test is being offered to hospitals for free until the end of March.

This webinar is aimed at clinicians and transfusion lab teams and will cover topics such as timelines, pathways, consent, ordering, and receiving results.

The programme is delivered by NHS Blood and Transplant and funded by NHS England.
